Gone but not forgotten......

This site will take you on a trip down 'memory lane' with the early history of Bulloch County Hospital, the first hospital in Statesboro, Georgia.

It starts with the year the hospital opened (1937), and then, decade by decade, it will take you through the years of construction/remodeling to the time when it became the Bulloch Memorial Hospital complex. The history is told by using excerpts from the minutes of the Hospital Authority meetings.

Finally, you will find photos of the demolition.

Two old photos on the site came from the Statesboro Regional Library. All of the color photos were taken June 2003 and afterwards by me. I used these current photos to help with the description of the construction through the years.
